//Raise Your Voice With Globe-athon On World Ovarian Cancer Day

Ovarian Cancer is the fifth most common cancer among women, and it has the lowest survival rate of all women’s cancers. This is largely attributed to the fact that about 75% of ovarian cancers are diagnosed at a late stage. Late diagnosis is the norm for a variety of reasons ranging from a lack of symptoms, to the absence of detection and prevention tests and techniques. Tweet this!

Are you at risk for ovarian cancer?

  • Do you have a history of ovarian cancer in your family?
  • Are you constantly bloated?
  • Do you have abdominal or pelvic pain that lasts for an extended time?
  • Do you have a hard time eating, or do you feel full very quickly?
  • Do you need to urinate all the time?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, it is a good idea to visit your doctor and talk to him or her about your symptoms. It’s important to note that these symptoms don’t necessarily mean you have ovarian cancer. Everyone occasionally bloats or has some abdominal pain. Right? But since ovarian cancer symptoms are similar to everyday issues women can experience, it’s important to be cautious and discuss symptoms with your doctor if they’re persistent.
