REVIEW

What is MagniWork:
We all know how solar panel work, harnessing the suns energy converting it to electricity. Wind turbines use the wind to create motion. So how does the MagniWork generator work?
The concept is very simple, it uses magnets to induce a perpetual motion turbine. Once started the magnets propel the turbine in a infinite cycle. That means it will run forever.
It does take a small amount of electricity to run the machine but its output is about 5 times of that which it consumes. It also runs off its own electricity. It does need to be kick started with an initial jolt of electricity from a battery or something like that, but once in motion it will never stop. It produces no emissions and is great for the environment.
What we like:
- Not Weather Dependent. The finished product, a magnet driven perpetual motion turbine, has the same output regardless of the weather conditions. No need to build both solar panel and a wind turbine in case of overcast conditions. The MagniWork generator is always on and always producing a constant flow of electricity.
- 24/7 full support. This product is a little more technical than the guides on building solar panels. But if you have any kind of problem or get stuck, you can contact MagniWork and and their friendly tech support team will respond quickly with details on how to resolve it.
- Easy to Follow. The instructions provided are easy to read and follow. A warning, by its very nature this product is a bit more technical than building solar panels, only undertake this project if you are fairly confident in yourself out in the workshop. All materials needed were readily available at Bunnings warehouse, our local hardware store.
- Its Safe. The MagniWork generator does not produce any byproducts or gases. It isn’t flammable or combustible, therefore is doesn’t smell of fuel and is very quiet when in operation. All moving parts are inside the outer casing so no caught fingers of the little ones.
What could be better:
- No Video. Our main Gripe. One of the things we liked about some of the other products we have reviewed were the addition of How to Video tutorials. The Home Made Energy system does come with anything like this. The diagrams and plans are very comprehensive but could be complemented with the use of video.
- Unsubstantiated claims. MagniWork claims they were able to source and build the magnetic generator for less than $200. We did not find this to be the case. Sure if you shop around for second hand magnets etc you can reduce your costs but i find that using quality materials will pay off in the long run. They also claim that once built and operational there will be no need for maintenance and no down time. We doubt that is ever the case. Anything with moving parts will experience wear and tear and need replacement sooner or later.
NB: I use the one we built to power my workshop. It takes %100 percent of the load and has been working for over a year now.
The Verdict
A great product. But a word of warning, Cutting corners on the materials and construction of this generator will end up costing you money. By building a sturdy unit first time round, the need for maintenance will be greatly reduced. This is why we disagree with the claim that it can be constructed for less than $200. We ended up spending over $400 on ours. Which is still not bad as far as we are concerned, considering the savings we get from it.
How Much?
Like all the others MagniWork runs regular price promotions. The RRP is $197. We picked up our copy for $97.
We keep a constant eye on the price and have seen it for various prices, once as low as $49. Again they run regular sales so you might have to wait a month or two if you want the sale price, but worth holding out for. If you find it on sale snap it up.
Our Rating

(5/5) Different from the solar power guides but definitely worth it!
