//The Queen of Soca joins the Globe-athon in the Caribbean

Crowned “the Queen of Soca” by her fans around the world, artist and entertainer Alison Hinds is using her voice to speak up about women’s cancers. She walked in Globe-athon’s first international event in Barbados in 2013 and is joining forces with our grassroots movement again this year. “What motivates me is the fact that too many women are still dying from cancer,” Hinds said. “Being a part of this campaign will hopefully save more lives and sensitize as many people as possible to the importance of testing and early diagnosis.”

Named 2010 “Female Entertainer of the Year” at the Barbados Music Awards, Hinds will perform hit songs, including “Paradise,” on Globe-athon float at the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn, New York on Monday September 7th. Don’t miss her as she encourages women from all walks of life to take care down there.
