Friends,

The Globe-athon to End Women’s Cancers is more than just a walk. It is an international movement that’s bringing the world together to end women’s cancers, one step at a time. Advocacy groups, healthcare professionals, survivors, and the general public alike are unifying their efforts to foster public awareness and education for gynecologic cancers worldwide.

As we continue to support this goal and strengthen the international community with Globe-athon, what better way to represent our commitment to the cause than with a physical symbol of solidarity – a Globe-athon Cord of Hope. Cords of Hope are bracelets and lanyards, representing international love and unity. These bracelets are beautiful, yet can be created simply and inexpensively from materials found around the world.

The colors of the Cords of Hope are Teal for Ovarian Cancer, Peach for Uterine/Endometrial Cancer, Fuchsia for Cervical Cancer, Lavender for Vulvar Cancer, and Turquoise for Vaginal Cancer.  You can also use purple, which represents the GYN cancer movement, in general.

We encourage all Globe-athon supporters and GYN cancer advocates to create Cords of Hope for themselves and those in their community. Creating these bracelets will demonstrate support of the Globe-athon, promote gynecological cancer awareness, and identify you as a member of the global movement. Cords of Hope, which will be made and worn around the world, are a beautiful, physical, and constant reminder that there are people everywhere who believe that there is hope of a future without cancer.
