Dancehall and reggae fusion singer Christopher Martin made history when he became the first Digicel Rising Stars winner to score a single on the charts in Jamaica. He’ll make history again Monday when he brings his sexy, Jamaican swagger and sound to the Globe-athon float at the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn. Sharing the same label as Grammy Award-winning reggae artist Shaggy, Martin used his musical clout to help bring awareness to the Globe-athon mission, breaking the silence surrounding women’s cancers. Martin says, “It is challenging sometimes, but I believe in music and I see the power it has.”
